SALT Social

What It Means to Belong to SALT Social
SALT Social offers a flexible way for families to connect to the SALT community. Through SALT Social, families have access to select events, gatherings, and opportunities throughout the year while maintaining alignment with SALT’s values and community standards. Social membership allows families to engage at a pace that fits their current season.

What Social Families Participate In
SALT Social families may participate in:
-
Select field trips
-
Social gatherings and family events
-
Community-wide celebrations
-
Designated enrichment opportunities

Access to events varies and is communicated clearly in advance.

Expectations for Social Membership
All SALT families are expected to:
-
Respect SALT’s Christian foundation and community standards
-
Adhere to behavior and safety policies at all events
-
Support the culture of encouragement and mutual respect

Because SALT Social families participate in shared community events, expectations for conduct and alignment remain consistent across all SALT gatherings.

Is SALT Social a Good Fit for Your Family?
SALT Social may be right for your family if you:
-
Are new to homeschooling and exploring community
-
Want meaningful connection without structure & volunteer expectations
-
Prefer flexibility in how and when you engage
-
Are discerning long-term interest in SALT Core

Considering Core in the Future?
Families interested in SALT Core are welcome to review the Core Handbook and complete an Inquiry Form. Placement in Core is limited and may involve a waitlist process. SALT Social membership does not automatically transition to Core, but it can provide helpful familiarity with our culture and expectations.
